I’m a 60-something woman living in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada. This area has a wealth of fresh fruits and vegetables; it’s orchard and wine country!
Both my husband, John, and I enjoy cooking but I tend to experiment more than he does. One thing for sure, though, we both love good food and I love to share that love. For Christmas one year (2009), I put together a recipe book for each of my three kids; it contained some old favourites, things they’d grown up eating, and some of our new favourites. I’m already working on the second volume (slowly) and in time, they’ll all be getting another cookbook.
In the meantime, this blog is where I’ll be posting recipes we’ve tried, along with reviews and anything food-related. I hope you’ll join me in this venture. I love feedback and suggestions and encourage you to help make this site a dialogue. As time goes by, I’ll also add some recipe links for your (and my) enjoyment.
For those who don’t already know me, I’m also a knitter and amateur photographer and have blogs for both those interests. If interested, you can find the links on the Links page (Strings ‘n Things and Clicks ‘n Things).
